CPR requirements and fire performance cable – slides available to download

Posted On: 19-04-2016 By: Louisa Winnik

The construction industry is facing the most significant change in over a decade. The European Commission’s Construction Products Regulation (CPR) is replacing the Construction Products Directive (CPD), clarifying the legislation surrounding product testing and certification. This new regulation was established in 2011, but the requirements for wire & cable products across Europe to meet the fire & safety standards and be CE marked upon manufacturing will begin on 1 July, 2016, with a one year transition period ending 1 July 2017.

For more insight into the impact new legislative changes will have on the fire performance cable market see our full focus report: The European Fire Performance Cable Market
