About: IFC and Integer Research and Environ

International Finance Corporation (IFC) is a member of the World Bank Group, and is the world’s largest development institution dedicated solely to the private sector in developing countries. As well as creating jobs and opportunity in developing countries to eliminate poverty, IFC is also focused on improving resource efficiency and mitigating climate change.

IFC aims to advance the goal of improved resource efficiency in the energy-intensive nitrogen industry by making financial resources available both to fund the initiative, but also to encourage investment in REF technologies and practices.

Integer Research and Environ are working in collaboration as the project consultant, leading and undertaking the work for the initiative.

Integer Research brings to the initiative its extensive experience in technical and financial benchmarking of nitrogen fertilizer producers, including regular analysis on production costs in the global nitrogen industry, and assessments of the feasibility of fertilizer plants for strategic consultancy work. Integer Research’s team includes consultants with significant technical knowledge of fertilizer production plants.

Environ’s expertise in assessing the environmental and ecological impact of chemicals and fertilizer operations will enable participants to identify REF technologies and practices that can improve their environmental performance.  The key role played in project management by the Environ CIS team also offers participants a local presence and understanding of ECA environmental, legal, and permitting requirements.
