Mr Philip Radbourne, Director of Wire and Cable Business from Integer Research. Philip heads up the wire and cable research team at Integer Research Ltd. He is one of the founders of the company. Philip has managed market studies, which analysed a range of products from power cables, magnet wire, LAN data cables to copper telecom and fibre optic cables. He has also worked on a range of products from power cables to LAN data cables. He worked with management in a number of cable companies, covering company strategy, market analysis and technical studies.

Brad Johnson

Brad R. Johnson has been in the Communications industry for 32 years, the past 19 years with Superior Essex. He currently serves as President of Superior Essex International LP, Communications.

Brad joined Superior Essex in January of 1997 as Regional Sales Manager located in St Louis, Missouri. In 1999, was promoted to Director of Sales — Premise Markets, then Vice President of Sales — Distribution Markets. In 2013 Brad was promoted to Senior Vice President - Sales and in January 2016 was again promoted to President.

Prior to joining Superior Essex, Brad worked for GTE Supply and GTE Southwest in various Sales and Marketing roles, and M/A–COM in various Sales Management positions.

Mark Agnew

His department produces EEI’s annual Financial Review and a series of Quarterly Financial Updates that provide aggregate industry data sets and trend analysis on the following topics: Stock Performance, Dividends, Credit Ratings, Construction, and the three primary Financial Statements. Other publications include the quarterly EEI Stock Index. His duties also include being a representative for EEI’s Taxation Committee and Budgeting & Financial Forecasting Committee. Prior to his EEI experience, he served as a Commercial Credit Analyst for the Dun and Bradstreet Corporation. Mark holds an MBA degree from The College of William and Mary.

Rich Stinson

Rich Stinson is President and CEO of Southwire. He joined Southwire in October of 2015 and, in his current role, leads the company’s strategy and efforts toward sustaining a multi-generational future. Stinson retired from Eaton Corporation in August 2015 as group president of electrical systems and services. In that role, he was responsible for seven product divisions, which offered a comprehensive portfolio of services for every stage of a power system’s life cycle, including design, build and support.

Stinson has more than three decades of experience in industrial manufacturing and holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He serves on the boards of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), International Cable Federation (ICF), Copper Development Association, Carroll Tomorrow, University of West Georgia Richards College of Business, University of Pittsburgh Electrical and Computer Engineering School and the Board of Governors for the state of Georgia.

Patrick E. Hughes

Patrick Hughes is Senior Director of Government Relations and Strategic Initiatives at the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA). Patrick is the principal lead for NEMA's legislative and regulatory government relations work on grid modernization, high-performance buildings, energy storage systems, electric vehicles, and more. Patrick also leads NEMA's Strategic Initiatives program—an idea incubator and accelerator that establishes short-term, innovative programs and projects to prepare NEMA members for emerging opportunities and technologies, including smart cities, Internet of Things, high-performance buildings, and the energy-water nexus.

Before joining NEMA, Patrick was a Senior Associate at the Energy Future Coalition, an initiative of the United Nations Foundation, where he focused on developing new methods to increase the energy efficiency of the commercial building stock in the United States, as well as advocating for policies that encourage the build-out of the electric grid to interconnect remote renewable energy resources. Prior to that, he worked in the office of Congresswoman Grace F. Napolitano (D-California). Patrick has a M.S. in Energy Policy and Climate Science from Johns Hopkins University and received B.A. degrees in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Rochester.

Tom Doring

Tom Doring serves as Southwire’s Executive Vice President of Corporate
Strategy, Research and Development and Business Development. Doring
joined Southwire in August of 2016 with more than 29 years of experience
in the electrical industry. In his role at Southwire, Doring focuses on driving
business growth via innovation and expanding business development plans
by designing and implementing processes to support business growth
through customers, markets and acquisitions.

Most recently, Doring served as president of Vacon/Danfoss in Milwaukee,
WI, where he led the growth and expansion of business in the Americas.
Prior to his tenure at Vacon/Danfoss, Doring worked in a variety of leadership
positions at companies such as Eaton Corporation and Danaher Corporation.
Doring holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from
the University of Dayton and completed post-graduate work at Syracuse
University. Doring and his wife, Christine, currently reside in Carrollton,
Georgia.

Steven Vermeulen

William Reichert

William (Bill) Reichert is the President of Champlain Cable Corporation in Colchester, Vermont.  He has been in manufacturing industries for 34 years – 32 of these in wire and cable in various operations, engineering, sales and marketing, management and leadership assignments.  Bill has spent the last 14 years at Champlain Cable, where he leads this engineered cable company’s long term strategy, market leadership and profitable growth.

Bill returned to Champlain in 2003 as Vice President, Operations.  He was promoted to COO in January, 2014 and into his present role of President in 2016.

A founding advisor for Wire & Cable FOCUS, Bill has presented technical and management papers at both the FOCUS and IWCS conferences.  A seven year member of the Wire Association International Board of Directors culminated with Bill as the President of the Wire Association International in 2015.  Bill is currently the chairperson of their Finance Committee, and a WCMA (Wire and Cable Manufacturer’s Alliance) board member.

Received Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry in 1983 and MBA in 1993, both from the University of Vermont.

David Suszko

David Suszko is a global strategic marketing manager for wire & cable at The Dow Chemical Company. David is responsible for the strategy, promotion and innovation pipeline of wire and cable solutions and for driving higher profitability of the business. He leads a cross functional team to continuously identify innovative growth opportunities and to drive projects from ideation to implementation. David has served as Dow’s representation to the American Chemistry Council. He has also led several charity efforts, serving Junior Achievement, Habitat for Humanity, and the United Way. David also helps recruit for Dow at the University of Texas. David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing from Clemson University and an M.B.A. from the Jesse H. Samuel Friedman

Sam Friedman is Director of Technical Services and Codes and Standards for General Cable. Sam has degrees in engineering, math and a master’s in business administration. He is a member of IEEE and has served on National Electrical Code CMP-6 and CMP-15 for five (5) code cycles. Sam is also a member of CSA ICWC 04, a member of NEMA codes and standards committee and chair of CANENA THSC 20 Flexible Cords and NEMA Cord and Power and Control technical committees. He is the USNC TAG Technical Advisor for TC 20 and serves on two IEC TC 20 working groups as well as various UL and NEMA committees. Sam has worked in the wire and cable industry for over 40 years and as such, has experience in design, development, application and manufacture of wire and cable products.

Brent Richardson

Brent Richardson is the marketing development manager for the Wire & Cable segment of Packaging & Specialty Plastics, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company. Brent represents Dow to the utility industry in North America. Prior to joining Dow in May of 2007, Brent worked for nearly 25 years for Duke Energy in Charlotte, NC. His experience includes many components of the utility business including Field Engineering, Distribution Standards, Project and Product Management and Marketing. He received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and is a registered Professional Engineer in NC and SC. He is also a Senior Member of the IEEE and the Insulated Conductors Committee and has made numerous presentations to the IEEE, the ICC and other industry organizations. In the ICC, Brent serves as Chair of Discussion Group A14D –Cable Standards and Vice Chair of Subcommittee A-Cable Construction and Design. He is also the Chair of PDi2, an industry consortium whose aim is to collect and use data to provide an objective means to evaluate power infrastructure investments.

Brian Ensign

Vice President Strategic Accounts and Solutions

Ensign’s industry experience expands the last 24 years which includes his current position with Superior Essex International as Vice President Strategic Accounts and Solutions and previously with Legrand/Ortronics as the Director of Technology.  His experience also includes positions of increasing responsibility with Leviton Manufacturing Co., Inc, including Director of National Accounts and with Intertek Testing Services (ETL) as a Senior Staff Engineer.

Ensign holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from the SUNY Polytechnic Institute along with his RCDD, NTS, OSP, and RTPM designations from BICSI.  He is the current BICSI President and is serving as the Chairman of the BICSI Board of Directors.  Brian has been an active participant in the TIA, IEEE, and BICSI standards committees and continues to track the progression of such.

Ensign is a frequent public speaker of industry, technology, and trends at various industry events and functions.

Mikael Wennerberg

Jeremy Featherstone

Jeremy Featherstone is a Chartered Engineer, and is the Product Development Director at JDR Cable Systems Limited. JDR supplies subsea umbilicals and power cables, in particular inter array subsea power cables for offshore wind farms. JDR has two manufacturing facilities in the UK and from September 2017 became part of the TF Kable group of companies, which has substantial cable manufacturing capabilities within Central Europe.

Jeremy has worked in subsea cables for some 30 years. He started his working life at SMD on subsea telecom cable burial equipment, before spells at Global Marine Systems on telecom cable installation, and then Centrica Renewable Energy on subsea power cables for offshore windfarms, and now JDR, where he leads the product development team.

Veronique Stappers

Veronique Stappers is Strategic Marketing Director in charge of Renewable Energy products with the Industry Solutions & Projects Business Group at Nexans.  Her role includes the definition and roll out of Nexans Renewable Energy strategy.  She has worked at Nexans since 1997 when the company was still Alcatel.  She holds a Masters of Territory Management & Marketing from Laval University in Canada and a MBA in Business Strategy from ESCP Business School in Paris.

Robert Whitman

Bob Whitman was appointed Global Market Development Vice President in 2013. Whitman is responsible for Carrier Networks Market and Business Development to include strategy and execution of Corning’s Fiber to the Home, Inside Plant and Emerging Applications initiatives.

With over 20 years’ experience in optical fiber network architecture, product development and carrier engagement, Bob has developed commercial and technical expertise in all aspects of optical communications. He is one of the three founding individuals of the FTTH Council NA.

Previously, Bob was VP for Global Program Management and has held a variety of Engineering, Marketing and Market Development positions. Prior to joining Corning in 1997 Bob served as a Nuclear Power Engineering Officer in the US Navy.

Daniel Winkler

Daniel Winkler is the Vice President of Sales and Engineering at LEONI Cable, Inc. located in Michigan, USA. Daniel has a diploma from the Cooperative State University in Stuttgart, Germany,

In his 16 years at LEONI he has worked in various areas of product engineering, product development, material development, and test laboratories. He is a member of various standardization committees at ISO, SAE, and UL and serves as committee member of IWCS. In his current role he actively works on charging cable standardization and product developments.

John Emanuel George

John George has served with AT&T, Lucent Technologies and now OFS in various engineering and marketing roles.  He currently directs the Solutions and Professional Services group for OFS’s optical fiber, cable, connectivity, and solutions business.  John has published and presented numerous papers and articles on fiber optics and FTTH and been active in Industry standards. He has been an active member of the Fiber Broadband Association  (former FTTH Council) from its founding year of 2001, and serving on its board of directors since 2008. John has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and a Master of Science in Engineering Administration from Virginia Tech, and holds 6 patents.

 

J.Derrick Smith

AT&T Services Inc.

J. Derrick Smith has over 20 years experience in the wireless industry. He currently serves as the Manager for Indoor Product Development and Strategy for AT&T’s national team. Derrick has been with AT&T for 15 years and has worked in numerous cross functional roles including HQ RAN and National Device Testing.  Derrick was instrumental in developing AT&T’s indoor deployment guidelines and standards in 2010-11 and has worked to revise and modify those standards to include small cells and LTE.  Prior to joining AT&T, he worked as a consultant in the wireless industry and helped train entry level engineers on various wireless technologies.  He has a degree in Mathematics from Morehouse College, BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech, and an MBA from Kennesaw State University.  He is married to Dr. Jacinda Byrd-Smith and has one daughter, Jaida.

Tony Walker

Tony Walker is the Manager for HUBER+SUHNER's North American Structured Cabling business.  Prior to joining H+S, Mr. Walker was responsible for Strategy & Business Development for Commscope's Data Center/Central Office Americas business.  Previous, Mr. Walker was Director of Marketing & Strategy for Legrand's Data Communications Division. He was responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Legrand group globally for Structured Cabling. This included product development, market development, sales support and integration into existing networks (IP or ethernet). Prior to joining Legrand, Mr. Walker was in Business Operations for Lucent Technologies' IP Services Group. He is an acknowledged authority on advanced IP services, not just the technical know-how, but also quite knowledgeable on why service providers would want to deploy advanced IP services. Prior to joining Lucent, Mr. Walker worked as a consultant to service providers. He started his career with BBN Corporation (later acquired by GTE and merged with Verizon). While at GTE, Mr. Walker led the Broadband deployment team for GTE Internetworking. He is also a highly regarded and much requested speaker for a variety of conferences and seminars.

Bryce Bregen

Bryce Bregen has more than 20 years of executive-level sales management and channel development expertise in telecom and wireless. Having overseen more than 2,100 distributed antenna system installations across a wide range of vertical markets, Bregen uses his comprehensive industry knowledge to educate businesses on DAS from A to Z.

Since joining Connectivity Wireless, Bregen has managed direct and indirect sales channels including enterprise, carrier and manufacturing/distribution partners to aggressively expand sales channels to extend in-building wireless services to all major markets across the U.S.

Bregen is a BICSI corporate member as well as presenter for the BICSI organization on DAS trends. He is also a member of the DAS Standards Committee of the HETNET Forum, a council member of The HETNET Forum, a presenter for the American Architect Institute, and member of the Atlanta Wireless Association member.

Matt Herbers

Matt Herbers is a 29-year veteran of the wire and cable industry who has spent his time in both international procurement and in sales to OEM’s and automotive applications.  He began his career at Coleman Cable Systems in supplier development and spent considerable time with their commercial joint venture in China for electric cord sets and power supply cords.  He later went to work with King Wire, a distributor of power cable headquartered in Chicago, leading their sales effort into the OEM market.  And his last stop was at IEWC where he shifted gears back from sales to procurement and then moved into Business Development developing new suppliers, driving new market initiatives, and developing new customers for this Distributor of wire, cable, and wire management products to the OEM and wire harness industry.

Matt studied Economics and Chinese Studies graduating in 1983 with a Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University.  He spent his final year as an exchange student in Shanghai, China studying Chinese Literature where he “got the bug” for international commerce.  Matt has spent most of his career bridging cable markets between North America and Asia.
