Dr. Wolfgang Reuter, vice president Sales & Engineering, Emission Control Europe, is responsible for research & development, applications engineering, project and program management and sales and marketing for Tenneco’s emission control business unit in Europe. Dr. Reuter is based in Edenkoben, Germany, the site of the company’s global centre of excellence in emission control R&D and engineering.
He has held this position since 2002 during which time he has contributed to Tenneco’s significant growth in exhaust gas aftertreatment technology which covers all the products that are critical to meeting current and future emissions legislation in passenger car and on- and off-road commercial vehicles.
Prior to joining Tenneco, Dr. Reuter served as managing director, Sales & Engineering for Pierburg AG’s Air Management and Emission Control business units from 1998. Based in Neuss, Germany, he held a variety of management positions including advanced R&D of all Pierburg products before being appointed to his last position.
Dr. Reuter has a Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering from RWTH Aachen, Germany, where he also obtained his Ph.D. He completed research projects at ETH Zurich, Switzerland and the University of Nevada, USA.
