Sophie started her career with KPMG where she worked on cleaner production in the Netherlands and in Australia. After that she was the teamleader of the UNEP GERIAP (Greenhouse Gas emission Reduction from Industry in Asia and the Pacific) Program. This was a three-year project assisting Asian countries and companies to become more energy and cost efficient through Cleaner Production. In the last year she worked for UN-ESCAP during which she worked on the strengthening of UN-ESCAPs evaluation systems
