Diesel Emissions Conference Russia & CIS 2013

Following the success of Integer’s launch conference in 2012, the 2nd Diesel Emissions Conference Russia & CIS will bring together over 200 senior executives from commercial vehicle and non-road OEMs, as well as emissions technology suppliers, oil companies, government legislators and representatives from industry associations who will examine profitable and fuel efficient emissions reduction strategies across the on and off-highway sectors.

The conference will address:

On-road

  • Develop diesel emission reduction strategies to meet the requirements of Euro IV and V.
  • Investigate the progress in producing and distributing Euro IV and V compliant low-sulphur diesel fuel.
  • Discover the engine technology options for heavy-duty commercial vehicles to achieve diesel emissions reduction targets.
  • Showcase the potential reduction of criteria pollutants using advanced diesel aftertreatment technology solutions.
  • Uncover the opportunities arising from the natural gas market and the investment in vehicles and distribution infrastructure.

Non-road mobile machinery (NRMM)

  • Analyse the current status and future plans for diesel emissions regulations for NRMM.
  • Determine industry perspectives on NRMM regulations and how stakeholders plan to move forward in the market.
  • Identify the optimum diesel emissions reduction technologies available to meet Tier III legislation.

AdBlue

  • Uncover the price drivers, production costs and margins in urea markets.
  • Realise the opportunities and growth in the AdBlue market as SCR technology is increasingly used to meet emissions regulations.
  • Discuss the challenges of the unique Russian market, such as the production of sub-standard AdBlue and the expansion of a solid distribution network.

Conference programme

New for 2013

Russia’s accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO)

Diesel Emissions Conference Russia & CIS 2013 will investigate the effect of Russia’s accession to the WTO in August 2012 which will see a considerable reduction in customs duties for international OEMs importing vehicles into the country.  The conference will examine the impact and opportunities this may have on the Russian automotive industry and explore whether there may be a shift in demand for foreign vehicles in a market where locally produced commercial vehicles have traditionally dominated.

Alternatives to diesel

Air quality in urban areas is such a serious concern in Russia that studies exploring the environmental and economic benefits of NGV are now being undertaken.  Russia has the largest gas reserves in the entire world but a lack of infrastructure means it only falls 20th in the use of the fuel.  The conference will reveal the potential of natural gas as a viable alternative to diesel and consider what plans Russian stakeholders have for the development of natural gas as an alternative fuel to diesel.

We are pleased to announce Wema as the environmental sponsor at this year’s event.

Climate change is the most pressing global issue facing us all, with potential for significant community, biodiversity and environmental consequences across the world. To take responsibility for our impact on the climate, Integer in partnership with Wema are offsetting the carbon emissions from our events through ClimateCare.

ClimateCare is an organisation that reduces global greenhouse gas emissions on behalf of companies and individuals. These reductions are made through a range of projects around the world that not only make real reductions in carbon emissions, but also make a difference to people’s lives.
