Advantest’s TAS7000 performs non-destructive 3D & 2D quantitative analysis using terahertz light waves to determine the identity and density of the PM inside DPFs and Catalysts. The system detects DPF and Catalyst material uniformity and/or non-uniformity, and measures ash, soot and coatings within these after-treatment components. Scanned data can be reviewed in "transparent" 3D models or dissected into 2D profiles along the X, Y, and Z radial axis.
