Jim Fier is currently leading the engineering teams involved in new product introductions for the MidRange Engine Business. In this role, Jim provides support and leadership for the various program teams. Current active programs include the Tier 4 Final industrial products and Euro VI / EPA 2013 automotive products.
Jim began his career with Cummins in 1986. In his early years at Cummins, he held various engineering and support roles on the heavy duty product (10 to 15 liter). In 2000, Jim joined the MidRange team (2.8 to 8.9 liter). Within MidRange, he has held various roles including World Wide Chief Engineer, Technical Project Leader, and Program Leader prior to his role as Executive Engineer. Jim graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in Agricultural Engineering in 1986.
