Graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1991.
Professional experience has encompassed technical leadership and management in an analytical laboratory since 1991. This has included test development, quality control, and operational management to meet both short and long term technical and business goals.
During his career, Joe has been heavily involved in the Lubricating oil testing and qualification industry. Through the ASTM he has helped to develop numerous test procedures and novel analysis techniques. Currently holds the following Chairmanships within ASTM D02 on Petroleum Products:
Current Chairman, ASTM D02.B0 Subcommittee on Automotive Lubricants
Current Chairman, ASTM D02.B0.02 Bio-Diesel effects on Engine Oil Task Group
Current Chairman, ASTM D15.25 Diesel Exhaust Fluid
Currently certified in Six Sigma and continue to have oversight of a large analytical/bench testing, laboratory, as well as a mechanical testing laboratory; and hold responsibility for development of new testing business opportunities for his division of Intertek.
