Allen Schaeffer is Executive Director of the Diesel Technology Forum, (www.dieselforum.org) the Nation's Leading Advocate for Diesel Technology representing leaders in engine, equipment and vehicle manufacturing, key suppliers, fuel refiners and emissions control technology companies.
In this capacity he has testified before Congress, served on EPA advisory panels on diesel retrofit and clean air standards, and forged alliances with environmental groups. He is a frequent commenter in both popular and trade media on energy, environment and transportation policy.
Previously Allen served for 13 years as Vice President of Environmental Policy at the American Trucking Associations (ATA), representing the industry on Clean Air, fuels and energy policy.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland College Park, and a Master of Environmental Health Sciences degree from the Johns Hopkins University (Bloomberg School of Public Health).
