The market potential of non-road mobile machinery in India is huge. The Indian tractor industry is currently thelargest in the world, with an expected robust sales growth rate of 10% in 2012. The Indian constructionequipment section is also very strong, at present the fifth largest CE market in the world growing at an annualrate of over 40% and tipped to become the second largest CE market by 2015. However, the non-roadmachinery industry is facing a big challenges posed by Bharat (CEV) Stage IV emission standards and Bharat(TREM) Stage IV standards expected to come into force nationwide in the same time in 2015/16.
