CNH confirms Tier 4 interim technologies: SCR above 100 HP, EGR below
CNH’s North American brands have confirmed that SCR and EGR technologies will be used for Tier 4 interim emissions standards, but not together. However, both technologies will be employed to reach the tougher Tier 4 final limits. Tier 4 interim emissions standards will become mandatory for engines above 174hp (130 kW) in 2011, and Tier 4 final standards begin in 2014.
