DEF pricing news from new issue of DEF Tracker

DEF Tracker: Bulk U.S. Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) prices rise in January

The January edition of DEF Tracker showed that the average price for all bulk supply modes in the U.S. and Canada increased for all delivery modes compared with the previous month. Tote refill deliveries are up $0.07/G nationwide, with the highest prices recorded in Denver, CO; Portland, OR and Salt Lake City, UT, while MSAs on the East Coast such as Detroit, MI and Atlanta, GA continue to post the lowest average prices.

Multi-drop (LTL) and full-truck load (FTL) prices increased significantly in the U.S and to a lesser extent in Canada where prices have been rising only marginally for the past two consecutive months.

Average DEF truck stop prices remained stable at US$2.79 per gallon in the U.S., which has been the case since November 2012, while the Canadian national average has also remained unchanged at CA$0.80 per litre since October 2011.
