Developing IMO Tier III emissions regulation compliant strategies is one of the greatest challenges currently facing the marine industry. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) have confirmed the target and implementation dates for NOx and SOx limits in ECAs (Emission Control Areas) and SECAs (Sulphur Emission Control Areas) and is the first regulation that will require an aftertreatment system to meet the requirements.
Integer’s 6th Diesel Emissions Conference & DEF Forum USA will analyse the EPA and IMO legislation and examine cost-effective legislation compliant measures to assist the industry in meeting the stricter requirements.
The conference keynote presentation will be delivered by Mike Samulski, Center Director, Large Marine and Aircraft of the EPA who will deliver a timely update of the IMO and EPA emission reduction standards and reveal both the timeline for implementation and the future plans of the regulatory bodies.
With the legislative targets set, the conference will move on to hear from leading vessel and engine manufacturers and fleet owners and their perspectives of the legislation and the strategies they are developing to meet the targets.
Confirmed speakers include:
- Mike Samulski, Center Director, Large Marine and Aircraft, The EPA
- Phil Wasinger, Director ‐ Government Relations & Business Development, MAN Diesel & Turbo North America Inc.
- Kris Van Mullem, Chief Executive Officer, Diesel Emission Control Ltd
