SGCC and J-Power to speak at Wire & Cable Asia

State Grid Corporation of China and J-Power are confirmed to speak at Wire & Cable Asia 2012.

Yang Yingjian, Chief Engineer at the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) has confirmed to speak on the development of ultra-high voltage transmission technology in China at Wire & Cable Asia 2012.

SGCC is China’s leading power company and expanding fast along with the nation’s growing energy needs.  It moved up one spot to No. 7 in the 2011 Fortune Global 500 list.  SGCC claims it now supplies energy to over a billion people across 26 Chinese provinces.

As China is making extensive developments to the ultra-high voltage grid to solve the gap between electric power supply and demand, Yang Yingjian from

SGCC will share the SGCC experience and speak on the development and application of ultra-high voltage transmission technology in China.  In addition, J-Power, Japan’s largest wholesale electricity provider, supplying electricity to Japan’s 10 major electric power companies, will speak on the market trend for submarine cable and the company’s advanced submarine cable technology.

Wire & Cable Asia 2012, to be held in Shanghai on 27 – 28 November, will be attended by experts from utilities as well as major cable makers across Asia. The conference will provide the perfect platform for these stakeholders to discuss and discover the latest trends and technologies affecting the Asia Wire & Cable industry, as nations in the region rapidly develop.
