Emissions technology specialists Clean Diesel Technologies, Bridgeport, CT, has entered into a merger agreement with Catalytic Solutions Catalytic Solutions, Ventura, CA, which will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.
Catalytic Solutions manufactures and distributes emissions control systems for heavy and light-duty diesel vehicles, including Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology which requires Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF).
Both companies will have to raise capital prior to the merger in order to meet the cash threshold targets set out in the agreement.
Catalytic Solutions sold Applied Utility Systems, its subsidiary which supplied Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) solutions for industrial use, to Johnson Matthey in October 2009.
